The museum is open from 10 am until 4 pm every day except Mondays.
Museum shop
Our excellent museum shop, The Undercroft, sells a range of high quality gifts, walking gear and books on the local area. Ice cream and old fashioned sweets are also available. The Undercroft is open from 1000-1600 every day except Mondays.

Two car parks are within a five minute walk of the museum. These are in Back Lane (GL54 5PZ) and Bull Lane (GL54 5HX). The Back Lane car park costs just £1 for all-day parking. Bull Lane is closer to the museum than Back Lane.
The nearest mainline train station is Cheltenham Spa. The taxi journey to Winchcombe takes about 25 minutes. Alternatively, a frequent bus service runs from the station to the centre of Cheltenham for a bus to Winchcombe. The volunteer-run Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway runs between Broadway and Cheltenham Racecourse and has a station at Greet, approximately a mile from Winchcombe Museum. There is a pleasant walk from the station, some of which is along a path by the side of the river Isbourne.
The Stagecoach-run Service W runs hourly from Cheltenham to Winchcombe. The bus can be boarded at Pittville Street (outside Primark) in the centre of Cheltenham. Alight from the bus at the War Memorial in the centre of Winchcombe.
The museum has step-free access to the ground floor and a lift to the two upstairs rooms.
