There has been a pottery at Greet since early in the Nineteenth Century, but it became famous when Michael Cardew took it over in 1926. He made this beautiful three-handled urn in the 1930s.
In Winchcombe museum, you can see this and pots made by other well-known potters of the past, such as Sid Tustin and Don Jones. Then, it is only a half-hour walk to the Pottery and its unique bottle kiln, sadly no longer in use.
